Each year, the Xero Roadshow is a great opportunity for us to hear about upcoming releases in Xero and the latest and greatest in Xero Add-ons and partner apps, as well as to catch up with other accountants and bookkeepers and share our experiences.  Here are some of the highlights from this year’s Roadshow.

 

Free Hubdoc is nearly here!

From 18 March, Hubdoc, which is a data capture tool, will be available for free to all Xero Starter, Standard and Premium subscription plans.

Hubdoc allows you to easily capture and manage all your bills and expense receipts. Your documents are uploaded from your desktop, mobile device, email or scanner.  Hubdoc then automatically extracts the key data and syncs it into Xero as coded transactions with the source document attached, where they can be reconciled in one click on the bank reconciliation.

Deputy for rostering and recording time

Deputy is a rostering and time recording solution that integrates seamlessly with Xero payroll.

You can sync existing employee details from Xero into Deputy to start.  Once you’re up and running, timesheets in Deputy are easily synced into Xero for accurate payroll processing.

Deputy includes an Award Interpretation feature that helps you to allocate the right Award entitlements to your employees (including penalty rates, overtime pay and allowances).  You can even see your projected wages total while creating your roster to make sure your wages for the roster period are on budget.  Now that’s smart business!  Check out Xero & Deputy

 

Uber for Business

Set limits on budget and time of travel, have full visibility over rides taken by your team and, best of all, have a single company account for business trips to be charged to.  And it all syncs directly into Xero.  No reimbursements and no manual paperwork. Read more here

• Automatic calculation of PAYG Withholding on commissions and bonuses is coming in Xero payroll.
• A short-term cash flow tool is coming soon to Xero. Currently in pilot phase, this feature will be invaluable to all businesses.
